Roots Across the Waters: Tracing Georgia’s Loyalists & Caribbean Legacy with Genetic Genealogy (Zoom)

February 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

You’re invited for a captivating genetic journey abroad! Join the Coastal Georgia Genealogical Society on Sunday, February 18, at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of history, genetic genealogy, and personal discovery. This Zoom presentation will navigate the uncharted waters of Georgia history, following the lineage of Loyalists and African Americans who sought new horizons in the Caribbean during the earliest wars fought on American soil.

Through the lens of modern DNA analysis, Terri Ward, “The Front Porch Genealogist,” and Adolphus Armstrong, “That DNA Dude,” will explore how these historical tides have shaped the identities and legacies of these descendants. Discover how genetic genealogy and historical context work to fuse fragmented family lines back together, connecting the past with the present in a tapestry of revelation and rediscovery.

This presentation promises to be an enlightening exploration of genealogy, heritage, and the enduring impact of historical migrations.

This Zoom event is free and open to the public. Only the first 100 people who log in to Zoom for the event can be accommodated, so be sure to log in early.
